News and Events9/7/2006 (Manhattan, Kan. September 7, 2006) The Advanced Manufacturing Institute at Kansas State University has selected 31 students to serve as interns during the fall semester. The institute's internship program gives K-State undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain real-world work experience. "My time at the Advanced Manufacturing Institute has significantly enhanced my technical skills, and the knowledge I have gained will improve my marketability," said Bryant Newby, senior in information systems, Winfield, and a fall 2006 intern. Also serving as Advanced Manufacturing Institute interns for the fall 2006 semester include: Calvin Banks, senior in mechanical engineering, Atchison; Arlen Walker, senior in mechanical engineering, Atwood; Jared Koch, sophomore in mechanical engineering, Axtell; Dean Herl, senior in industrial engineering, Colby; Erin Wetta, junior in marketing, Garden Plain; Steven Otte, junior in mechanical engineering, Herington; Dustin Jost, senior in civil engineering, Hillsboro; Scott Thiessen, senior in mechanical engineering, Inman; Cayle Harmon-Moore, senior in mechanical engineering, Johnson; Ross Duerksen, senior in mechanical engineering, Lehigh; Mike Hanson, junior in chemical engineering, Liberal; Aaron Luthi, senior in mechanical engineering, Madison.
